Working a job

Status taps, navigation, calling the customer, photos and signatures, proposing an add-on.

The job card

When dispatch assigns you, the job appears with the pickup, destination, vehicle, what happened, and the customer's name. One big button moves it to the next status; Navigate opens the route in Google Maps; Call customer dials them.

Status taps, in order

Tap each one when it happens, not later. The customer watches these on their tracking page, dispatch sees them on the board, and each one is stamped with the time and your position — they're the record if a job is ever questioned. Your company's on-time rate comes from the arrived tap versus the quoted ETA.

Photos

Add photo at any stage — condition at pickup, hooked up, at drop-off. On accident, recovery, impound and police jobs, the app requires two condition photos before you can mark the vehicle loaded: front, back, both sides, any damage. That's what settles a damage claim in your favor.

Signature

Get signature captures the customer's signature on your phone at release. It goes on the job record and the job sheet.

Add-ons

The car's in a ditch and needs a winch; the customer changed the destination. Propose an extra from your company's published list (or type your own — the customer is told it isn't published). The customer approves or declines on their phone before you do the work. Don't do the extra first and ask after; it can't be charged.

Notes

Anything dispatch or the office should know — where the keys were, what the customer said — goes in a note on the job.
