Message the company from your tracking page
Once a company has accepted your tow, your tracking page has a Message panel. Anything you type goes to the company's dispatcher and the driver assigned to you — whoever answers first, you see it as one conversation. Use it for the things that make a tow go smoothly:
- where exactly the vehicle is ("back lot, row C, behind the dumpsters")
- a gate code or buzzer
- that you've moved, or someone else is meeting the truck
- "how far out are you?" — though the map already shows the truck
Replies come back on the tracking page and, if you gave a mobile number, as a text.
What it isn't for
- Emergencies — call 911.
- Changing the job — if the vehicle needs a winch or dollies, the driver will propose the extra on scene and you approve it on the same page. See Extras on scene.
- Cancelling — use the Cancel button, not a message; the driver may already be en route. See Cancelling.
- Problems with Towhub itself (a receipt, a charge, the app) — use Message Towhub support at the bottom of the tracking page or any help article. That goes to Towhub, not the tow company.
Before a company accepts
There's no message panel yet while you're choosing a quote — the companies haven't committed. Quote cards show each company's phone number if you need to ask something before picking.
After the job
The conversation stays on the tracking page and the receipt for 30 days, alongside the job's photos and timeline. If something went wrong, open a dispute — the messages are part of the record.
